Department of Psychopedagogical Orientation
Department of Psychopedagogical Orientation
The Department of Psychopedagogical and Professional Orientation (DOPP) is the school organ that has the function of providing recources to the teachers to adapt to the particularities of each student, working in an interdisciplinary way. Nonetheless, it's also a support for the students and families of the center.

Objectives of DOPP:
  • Tending to diversity
  • Detecting NEE and stablishing coordinations with EAP.
  • Collaborating with the teachers in the elaboration of individualized plans (PI).
  • Doing a follow up with external professionals.
  • Attention and support of the Singular Project students.
  • Professional and academic orientation.
  • Evaluation of basic and curricular competences.
  • Orientation of the families in the evolutionary process of their children.
  • Hosting of newcome students and attention to new families.
  • Development of the Project family-school ("we grow together")
  • Counsel in education in values and management of emotions.
  • These performances are specified in the three intervention areas: in relation to the center, to the students and to the family.

In relation to the center/teachers:
  • Advising and guiding the teaching team in relation to strategies that facilitate the answer to the diversity in students.
  • Mainaining the follow up with teachers and tutors. 
  • Facilitating and coordinating the intervention of DOPP with external services (therapists, psychologists, speech therapists...)
In relation to the students:
  • Providing direct support to the students with special educational needs and learning, behaviour and/or relationship difficulties inside or outside the classroom.
  • Creating a space of mediation in order to maintain a good coexistence between all the members of the educational community.
  • Creating adapted materials and applying relevant protocols for the students that require it.
  • Activities rooted towards the facilitation of social integration of students with relationship issues inside their group and in school life.
  • Advising about the transition to professional and/or academic life.
In relation to the families:
  • Guiding and collaborating with the families of the students that recquire counceling by DOPP.
  • Organizing talks on the subjects of education in order to provide a space to the families where they can solve doubts and share daily life situations.
Our kitchen
Our kitchen
We have a dining room and kitchen managed by the own school with the guarantee of sanitary and endocrine quality controls. Our cooks select daily the food following the directives of the menu designed by our dietist. The objective is to offer a healthy quality diet. For this reason we follow the next criteria:
  • Local products
  • Fresh products
  • Mediterranean and balanced diet
  • 2 Basal menus: one adapted to kindergarden children and one for the rest of the students.
The school takes advantage of the dining room moment to inculcate healthy eating habits, as well as hygiene and behaviour habits. In the dining room there's monitors that enhance these habits and work in the acquisition of values such as coexistence, courtesy and respect.

  • Dietist of extensive experience in different centers as a dietist-nutritionist.
 
Pieces of advise from our dietist:


 In childhood diet, we must boost...
  • The consumption of fresh and season fruit, as the usual desert of meals and as a complement in breakfasts and snacks.
  • The consumption of season vegetables in the first dish and/or as a side in the second dish of the meals.
  • The consumption of legumes and dry fruits as well as toasted without salt.
  • The consumption of flour derivates (bread, pasta, rice...) of complete cereals, decreasing the refined ones.
  • The use of olive oil.
  • The consumption of water as the basic and vital beverage, both in meals and in between hours. 
  • An active lifestyle that includes minimum an hour of moderate/high intensity (walking, running, playing in the park, practicing a sport, etc.).
We must decrease...
  • The frequent consumption of candy and prioritize as an alternative dry fruits without salt (walnuts, apricots, prickly pears...)
  • Sugar drinks (colas, orangines, isotonic beverages, juices, etc.) and prioritize the consumption of water.
  • Bakery, and prioritze the consumption of sandwiches.
  • Chocolate creams, creams, mousses and others, as usual deserts of meals.
  • The frequent consumption of fast food.
  •  The excessive consumption of meat preparations and derivates, that have a higher content of fat (sausages, pates, hot dogs...).
  • The time dedicated to "screen activites" (television, computer, video games, etc.) to less than 2 hours a day.
Let's put it in practice!
Choosing, buying and cooking the food can be fun.
It must be tried! Participating in the ellaboration of family meals.
We must implicate ourselves!
Every meal is important. We must remember it!
Infirmary
Infirmary
The school has an Infirmary Service that takes care of all the students that are not feeling well or that have had an accident. Families are contacted and if necessary the students are taken to a health center.
At school tutors also do a more personalized follow up of students that require a treatment. In this case it's necessary that the families inform the school and deliver the necessary documents:
  • General permission of medicines
  • Permission for the exceptional administration of medicines
  • Allergy sheet (if it's the case)
When there's a coexistence field trip the responsibles carry a first aid kit.
The school has a mandatory school accident insurance
Hosting Service
Hosting Service
The hosting service covers all grades from Kindergarden to ESO in the following schedule:
  • Morning: From 7:30am to 9am
  • Afternoon: from 5pm to 7pm
The students can perform playful activities or advance their homework under the supervision of monitors.

The hosting service is done at The Tower (La Torre)
Intranet
Intranet is our interaction and communication platform between students, teachers and families.
The students have access to contents and digital books as well as to an e-mail.
The families have at their disposal information that allows them to do a follow up on their kid through the agenda, display of notes, as well as access to circular letters and menus.
